Sorolla Centenary
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Valencian painter Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida, a key figure in late 19th- to early 20th-century painting. The city will pay homage to the artist with a very interesting programme that includes exhibitions at his house-museum and at other iconic cultural venues in the capital as the light of the Mediterranean fills Madrid.
