Embassy (Aravaca)
Information
Embassy describes itself as a restaurant, tea room, bar, delicatessen store, sweet shop and catering company. Founded in 1931 by an Irish woman in the Castellana branch, it was originally a meeting place for the bourgeoisie and Madrid political class, where classic English five o'clock tea could be had in an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere, characteristics which it still conserves today.
The store has notable products such as sea urchins, anchovies from the Cantabrian sea, beluga caviar, mi-cuits, dried tuna and all varieties of chocolate, among which we can find sweets, truffles or cookies, including other pleasures.
The tea room offers continental, English and Spanish breakfasts and chocolates and teas of different origin. The restaurants also have the most varied trends, with dishes from classic Madrid tripe to other more sophisticated dishes such as steak tartar in Armagnac.
