YES

    Information

This concert which was scheduled for 13 May 2022 has been moved to 8 May 2023

Since its debut in 1969, the group, YES, has become one of the best known bands when it comes to progressive rock. The Saxon legends present The Album Series 2020 Tour, a tour which will stop off in Madrid in which the 1974 Relayer album will be performed in its entirety, as well as other classics.

Therefore, the show will comprise two sets. The first will feature favourite classic tracks from the YES’ extensive catalogue, such as Owner of a Lonely Heart or Roundabout; whilst the second will be devoted entirely to Relayer, the group’s seventh studio album which marked a slight change in direction.

Its innovation, the musical freedom that it professes, the virtuosity and, above all, the way in which the contents are developed turned Relayer into a hit and a must reference for  many of today’s progressive rock and heavy metal musicians.

The epic track on the album, The Gates of Delirium, almost 22 minutes in length and based on War and Peace by Tolstoy, became one of the group’s most elaborate and loved instrumental exercises, which gives way to a haven of peace, called Soon.

Now, the British legends are back to relive the epic tracks of this album live and they will count on Steve Howe (guitar), Alan White (drums), Geoff Downes (keyboard), Billy Sherwood (bass), Jon Davison (vocals) and Jay Schellen (percussion).
