The singer and songwriter from Catalonia is coming to the Teatro Circo Price on 25 April to perform, accompanied by a band of musicians, in which she presents the songs she composed for her latest album that will be released in March 2023. The concert will form part of the programme for the Festival de las Estrellas.

Sílvia Pérez Cruz is an actress and singer-songwriter born in Palafrugell (Gerona) in 1983 who graduated in canto-jazz from the Catalonia Music School. During her career, she has worked with other soloists, such as Joan Monné, Perico Sambeat, Javier Colina, Jerry González or Jeanette.  She has also participated in musical proposals with the groups, Las Migas, Llama, Coetus and Xalupa.

In 2009, she performed in the theatre play, El jardí dels cinc arbres (The Garden of Five Trees), an adaptation of texts by the poet, Salvador Espriu. It was not until 2012 when she released her first solo album, 11 de November, with songs in Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese and Galician, and whose lyrics were influenced by the verses of Feliu Formosa, María Cabrera and Maria-Mercè Marçal.

In the same year, she worked with the guitarist, Juan Gómez, Chicuelo, on the soundtrack of the film Blancanieves, winning the Goya Award 2012 for the Best Original Song for No Te Puedo Encontrar. In 2017, she won another Goya for the Best Original Song for the film, Cerca de tu casa. She was also nominated for the Best Newcomer Actress for the same film.

In 2020, she released her seventh solo album, Farsa (género imposible). It is an album which, like her previous ones, combines her own songs with cover versions by other artists, whose performance includes a colourful staging and spectacular live sound. 

In March 2023, the latest album by Sílvia Pérez Cruz will be released. This album can be heard at this concert in Madrid and has been recorded for a year in cities like Barcelona, Pontós, Madrid, Jerez, Buenos Aires, Coatepec (Mexico) and Havana.
