From Posada to Isotype, from Kollwitz to Catlett

    Information

From 23 March to 29 August, the Reina Sofia Museum is hosting an exhibition that explores the development and exchange in the first half of the 20th century between different supposedly obsolete and anti-technological graphic media.

The exhibition focuses on research into media such as wood engraving, linoleum and lithography, and their roles and means of distribution in geopolitical and social contexts.

An opportunity to reconsider key instances in those decades in the first half of the twentieth century, in which seemingly traditional print media served as cultural practices of progressive policies and emancipating resistance.
