Information
The Teatro Eslava hosts a flamenco and gastronomy show from Friday to Saturday directed by two great names from the genre, Cristina Hoyos and Jose Carlos Plaza. This event also includes a drink or a menu.
The veteran flamenco dancer, Cristina Hoyos, is back to choreograph a show that tells of the history of flamenco dance and song, offering a reflection of the passion, fun and diversity of this art. To do so, she has been helped by the dancer from Extremadura, Jesús Ortega, and has a soundtrack composed by José Luís de la Paz, a professional who worked with Hoyos on the music of productions like Tierra adentro, Yerma and Viaje al sur.
She is accompanied by José Carlos Plaza, a director who has won the National Theatre Award three times and who is responsible for adding the theatre note amongst the tapping, clapping and musical notes of the more than 15 dancers on stage. On the other hand, artists like the flautist, Juan Parilla, the flamenco singer, Juan José Amador, or the Cuban soloist, Yuriel Bonnet, among others, will also be collaborating. In addition to the flamenco, the constant cultural exchange between Spain and the Caribbean and South America will be highlighted with a selection of guajiras, boleros and alegrías.
Doors will open at 8pm, with dinner being served half an hour later and the flamenco performance starts at 10pm. The gastronomy menu varies depending on the type of entrance ticket and a vegan menu is available, although all of the menus maintain a gastronomic essence with Andalusian, Arabic, gypsy and traditional Castilian roots.
