The Lumineers

    Information

The folk-rock quintet from Denver will be performing on 7 March 2022 at the WiZink Center as part of its latest European tour. The group, which is currently working on its fourth studio album, has released the live EP, Live From The Last Night Of The Tour.

The American band, The Lumineers, got together in 2005 in Denver, Colorado, by Wesley Schultz, lead vocalist and guitar, and the musician, Jeremiah Fraites, responsible for drums, percussion and piano. It is a reference on the world’s indie-folk scene and the group’s minimalist sound is inspired by Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen, among others.

Their performances are characterised by energetic live shows and their best known songs include hits like Ho Hey, Stubborn Love, Ophelia and Cleopatra. Throughout their career, they have released three albums, the first of which was a self-titled album in 2012, which peaked at Number 2 on the United States Billboard.

Later came Cleopatra (2016), an album that took them to Number 1 in the United Kingdom’s Top 40, and the album, III (2019), whose title refers to its presentation in three chapters, each one focusing on a different main character from the fictitious Spark family.

Coinciding with the announcement of a new European tour for 2022, The Lumineers released the live EP,  Live From The Last Night Of The Tour. It is an album that includes the favourite songs,  OpheliaMy CellDonna and Gloria, along with new sounds for the public and an audience that joins in the singing.

On this European tour, which has just one concert in Spain, the American folk-rock group will be accompanied on stage by  the singer and songwriter, Gregory Alan Isakov, who will act as the support group.
