The American artist is embarking on a world tour to promote her latest studio album, Lust For Life. With this album, the Queen of dark pop moves away from her melancholic image to offer a more optimistic sound.  

Del Rey made her mark on the musical scene when she released the single, Video Games, in 2011. Accompanied by a music video that she had edited herself, the song was a sensation both commercially and with the critics; some specialised journalists even named it the Best Song of the Year.  

Her magnum opus, Born To Die (2012) crowned Lana Del Rey as the undisputed Queen of Alternative Pop. Having sold over 7 million copies, it is the third album by a woman that has remained in the Billboard 200 Chart for the longest time. Born to Die, released five years ago, is still in the charts of the best selling albums in the United States, having been there for over 300 weeks.

Lust For Life, the latest album by the New York artist, includes collaborations with stars, such as The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, Stevie Nicks and Sean Lennon. It is an optimistic album, full of political claims which went straight to Number One in the Best Selling Chart in the United States.
