Film Symphony Orchestra: KRYPTON - Heroes and Superheroes in Concert
Information
On 28 April, at the National Music Auditorium, the Film Symphony Orchestra will be giving a concert as part of its KRYPTON tour showcasing the best music from films about heroes and superheroes.
Conducted by charismatic director Constantine Martinez-Orts, the recitals include the most iconic soundtracks and songs from hit films such as Superman, The Last Mohican, Spiderman, Conan the Barbarian, Iron Man, Braveheart, The Dark Knight, Robin Hood, Captain America, and the Incredibles.
Founded in 2011 by Constantine Martinez-Orts, this orchestra has more than 80 members and exclusively performs cinematographic music or by composers closely linked to the seventh art. Its aim is to bring symphony music to younger audiences through the unifying thread of film.
And the orchestra has been very successful in its endeavours, as young people flock to its concerts to enjoy the soundtracks of their favourite productions. Some of the audience members even dress as characters from the series or films whose soundtracks are being performed.
Constantino Martinez-Orts is a composer and conductor born in Valencia in 1977 who has led ensembles such as The BBC Concert Orchestra (United Kingdom), the Craiova Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra (Romania), the Craiova Oltenia Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania) and the Sofia Festival Orchestra (Bulgaria). He is a professor at the Valencia campus of the Berklee College of Music and has released five albums dedicated to film music.
