Film Symphony Orchestra. Fénix

Finished
    Information

The Film Symphony Orchestra is back on stage in the Symphony Hall at the National Music Auditorium on 1 July with its latest tour, Fénix, which includes an exciting show based on the best music from films and series of today.

Under the baton of the charismatic conductor, Constantino Martínez-Orts, the recitals include the soundtracks and most iconic songs from series like The Mandalorian or The Bridgerton and box office hits, such as Beauty and the Beast or Gladiator. There will also be the great classics, such as West Side Story or Life Is Beautiful, among many others.

Founded in 2011 by Constantino Martínez-Orts, this group has more than 80 musicians and exclusively performs concerts of film music or artists closely linked to the genre.  Its objective is to bring symphonic music closer to a younger audience through the universal driving thread of film.

It has achieved this as its recitals are attended by young people to enjoy the soundtracks of their favourite films.  It is even common to see some spectators dressed up as the characters from the series or films that the group is musically performing.

Constantino Martínez-Orts is a composer and orchestra conductor born in Valencia in 1977 who has conducted ensembles like The BBC Concert Orchestra (United Kingdom), the Craiova Visrtuosi Chamber Orchestra (Rumania), “Oltenia” Philharmonic Orchestra of Craiova (Rumania) or the Sofia Festival Orchestra (Bulgaria). He is a professor at Berklee College of Music on its Valencia Campus and he has released five albums devoted to film music.
