Excelentia. Carnival in Venice

The Chamber Hall at the National Music Auditorium is hosting a recital by the Santa Cecilia Classic Orchestra on 19 February to celebrate Carnivals. This concert will be conducted by José Luis López Antón and fragments of some prestigious operas, such as The Marriage of Figaro, Rigoletto or Turandot can be heard.
The Santa Cecilia Classic Orchestra is the private ensemble of the Excelentia Foundation, which was set up in 2002 and boasts around 150 members. The orchestra has been conducted by illustrious maestros, such as Alexander Polyanichko, Michail Jurowski, Henrik Schaefer, Andrés Cárdenes, Alan Burivayev or Donato Cabrera, among many others. It is one of the best orchestras in Europe in its genre and usually gives around 30 concerts each season.
The Excelentia Foundation is a private, non-profit foundation that develops its activities in the field of culture and music with the aim of helping to promote lyrical-musical heritage and fostering the creation and performance of musical arts in all of its forms.
