Eagles of Death Metal

    Information

The iconic American alternative rock band, Eagles of Death Metal, are returning to the stage to celebrate their 24-year career. On 21 April, they are coming to La Riviera to perform all their biggest hits at a gig that is sure to become a celebration of classic indie rock.

The band got together in Palm Desert (USA) in 1998, with Jesse Hughes on drums and vocals, and Josh Homme on drums. They brought out their début album in 2004: Peace, Love, Death Metal. It was a hit as soon as it came out, since several of the tracks were used on TV ads. I Only Want You was even included on the sound track for the PS2 game Gran Turismo 4.

In 2006, they brought out their second record: Death by Sexy...., which earned them a spot playing with Guns N' Roses that same year. In 2008, they put out Heart On  and performed live at the Hollywood & Highland Virgin Megastore in Los Angeles (USA) to launch the video game Midnight Club: Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Zipper Down was released in 2015, their most recent studio album.

The band’s most famous tracks include Miss Alissa, Save A Prayer, Wannabe in L.A. and Don’t Speak (I Came To Make a Bang!). Just a sample of a back catalogue of music that mixes a whole range of rock styles, such as garage rock, blues rock, hard rock, rockabilly, glam rock, and swamp rock.
