Bono Stories of Surrender Book Tour

Finished
    Information

The leader of U2, Bono, is offering a unique show on 28 November at the Teatro Coliseum to mark the release of his book, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story. The world tour is coming to Madrid to present in his own words the story of his life through his songs and his music.

The singer has written a memoir: honest and irreverent, intimate and profound. His life, the challenges he’s faced, his friends and family, his whole life through forty chapters, each named after a U2 song and accompanied by forty original drawings created by Bono himself.  In this book, the author seeks to draw in detail what he had previously sketched in songs.

U2, the rock band from Dublin, Ireland, got together in 1976 with Bono as vocalist, The Edge on the guitar, keyboard and vocals, Adam Clayton on the bass and Larry Mullen Jr. on the drums. It has released fourteen studio albums with musical hits like With or Without YouOneSunday Bloody Sunday or Beautiful Day and great albums like The Joshua Tree (1987), Achtung Baby (1991) or Zooropa (1993).

It is one of the best-selling groups worldwide, having sold more than 170 million copies, won numerous awards and distinctions, among which more than twenty Grammy Awards, seven Brit Awards and three Golden Globe Awards in the category of Best Original Song stand out.  In addition to its music, the group is also known for its social efforts, particularly Bono, who has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize three times.
