    Information

The Backstreet Boys, the legendary American boy band that rose to fame in the 1990s, are coming back to Madrid after being in town in 2019, in the context of their 2022 DNA World Tour, a concert tour in support of their latest album, DNA, where they’ll perform their greatest hits too.

After their highly successful concert residency, Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life, performed at Zappos Theater in Las Vegas, in 2019, the band set off on a new world tour, which began in Las Vegas and includes shows in several European cities – Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich and London.

The Backstreet Boys – AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, Nick Carter and Kevin Richardson – came together in Orlando, Florida, in 1993. They released their first album, Backstreet Boys, in 1996, and it was a huge success. It was followed by Backstreet’s Back one year later, earning the band worldwide fame. Their third and fourth albums, Millennium (1999) and Black & Blue (2000), added new hits to the band’s popularity, including songs that have marked a generation: “As Long As You Love Me”, “Everybody”, “I Want It That Way” and many others.

After a two-year hiatus, they got together again to start recording a new album, Never Gone, released in 2005. The album’s first single, “Incomplete”, charted within the top ten in 13 countries. In 2013, the Backstreet Boys embarked on their 20th anniversary tour, officially titled as In a World Like This Tour, releasing their eighth studio album, also titled In a World Like This, a few months later. DNA (2019) is their tenth studio album – and their latest so far. It includes songs like “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, “Chances” and “No Place”, among others.

Considered to be the most successful boy band of the past three decades, the Backstreet Boys have sold more than 135 million copies of their albums worldwide – a record high in the history of music. A portion of the ticket sales from their 2022 DNA World Tour will go to the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, to protect and assist refugees and displaced people in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
