Alain Platel - Les Ballets C de la B
Information
The Belgian choreographer, Alain Platel, and his Les Ballets C de la B Company offer a heartfelt artistic tribute to the German dancer and pioneer of contemporary dance, Pina Baush.
Platel presents a language of movement connected to difficulty and the subconscious, taking the audience to the roots of the choreographic movement.
This is a show of small verbal and physical tics, which are reminiscent of the essence of communication before the human being pronounced the word. Therefore, emotions and thought will be expressed through dance and gestures.
Pina Baush is one of the most emblematic dancers of all times. Her career is linked to German expressionist dance and she introduced performances that involved the audience in her pieces. Bausch was probably the dancer that most influenced the emerging generations of contemporary dance and art in general. She died of lung cancer in 2009 at the age of 68.
