Teatro de la Zarzuela is hosting the sixth recital of the 29th Lied Concert Series on 3 April, which will feature the Austrian baritone Andrè Schuen, accompanied by the pianist Daniel Heide, performing a piece by Johannes Brahms.
Co-produced by Teatro de la Zarzuela and the National Centre for Musical Diffusion (CNDM), the 29th season of the Lied Concert Series will bring together numerous prominent Lieder singers on the international scene. In this latest recital, Andrè Schuen and Daniel Heide will be on stage to delight the audience with the performance of Die schöne Magelone, Op. 33 by Brahms, fifteen romanzas inspired by an ancient French legend which the German, Ludwig Tieck wrote about.
The young Austrian baritone Andrè Schuen, with his smooth, fluid and rich voice, is considered to be a rising star who has already performed before a Spanish audience on several occasions. He is a lyric baritone with an extensive spectrum, considerable width and canonical emission.
