Teatro Pradillo

    Information

Teatro Pradillo was opened in 1989 by Juan Muñoz and Carlos Marquerie, from La Tartana Teatro. The success of its theatrical proposals earned this theatre the Max Award for New Trends in 2006. After the founders abandoned the project, the theatre reopened its doors in 2012 as a centre for research and creation, a living space that aspires to influence public and cultural life, and to be permanently connected with the society of which it is a part.

Since April 2017, a new team, Equipo Pradillo, with extensive experience of managing groups, associations, and cooperatives (linked to the project of El Curro DT), has set out to invigorate the theatre, enriching through diversity a necessary and plural space that, after decades, is still recognised as a pioneering centre for creation, research, and exhibition dedicated to contemporary living arts.
