Salón de Baile del Teatro Real
Information
The Teatro Real has this space dedicated to flamenco, inaugurated in 2018, in which the Flamenco Real cycle is held, made up of regular performances of this Spanish artistic genre.
The former Ballroom at the Royal Theatre, completed in 1835, was initially used for dances and masked balls. Later, between 1841 and 1850, this room was used to hold Spanish parliamentary sessions whilst Parliament was being built.
Its 500 square metres, with its façade overlooking Plaza de Isabel II, are now a versatile and multi-purpose space, after being used as the auditorium of the conservatory that the Royal Theatre also housed for almost four decades.
