Information
The Santander Group’s City Art Centre is located in Boadilla del Monte, with almost 3000 square metres devoted to art.
Its collection is made up of over 1,000 works of art, which include Spanish paintings from the end of the Middle Ages to the present day, with an important presence of Flemish, Dutch, Italian and French painting from the 16th and 17th centuries; as well as works from other artistic genres, such as drawing, sculpture and decorative arts, with splendid collections of tapestries, ceramics, furniture and watches, among other pieces.
The exhibition brings together more than 200 works by the great masters such as El Greco, Zurbarán, Sorolla, Picasso, Miró and Barceló, taking you on a unique tour of the history of art from the 16th century to the present day.
In addition, the room has spaces dedicated to the coin collection (with 2218 coins from different periods of history), the whole of the Waldorf Astoria collection created by Josep Maria Sert, the Gutiérrez Solana collection, and a new display case of drawings, many of which have never been exhibited in public before.
