Plaza de Castilla elevated Reservoir

    Information

Belonging to Canal de Isabel II, this water reservoir situated at the Plaza de Castilla, was built in 1939 making it the fourth reservoir of the Canal.  It is a 40-meter high concrete structure with a capacity of 3,800 cubic meters of water.

Today this area has been converted into a 2,000 m2 park, inaugurated in 2004 and built over the Fourth Reservoir’s roof. The walls below serve as patterns for the garden paths on the surface and offer spaces for diverse use. Close to it you can find the Exhibition center Arte Canal.
