Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium

    Information

One of the world’s most modern stadiums, the Cívitas Metropolitano is Atlético de Madrid’s home ground. It can seat over 68000 people, and is well connected by metro to the city centre. In addition to Atletico de Madrid’s home games, it also hosts large-scale concerts and has a fascinating museum that is open to the public.

Inaugurated in September 2017, the stadium is located in the north-east of the city, near Adolfo-Suarez Madrid Barajas Airport. In 2019 it hosted the Champions League Final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. Subsequently, the UEFA included the stadium in its ‘Elite Stadiums’ list, the maximum distinction from European football’s governing body.

The new stadium has also become a venue for large-scale concerts that have so far included Bruno Mars, Iron Maiden and Ed Sheeran.

    ATLETI TERRITORY

Visitors to the Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium will be able to visit this new meeting place, where they can delve into the history of the club and its values through diverse leisure and entertainment activities, with fun interactive and immersive experiences.

Activities are grouped into three categories:

    • We Are History: It consists of the Tour of the interior of the stadium (in which different areas will be visited, such as the changing rooms, the benches, the press room or the mixed area, where the manager and the players appear after each match, as well as going out to the pitch via the tunnel used by the players) and the visit to the new 1,400 square metre Atlético de Madrid Museum, which reviews the club’s centenary history since it was founded in 1903 to the present day in a fun and interactive way. The Vicente Calderón stadium, which has now disappeared, will also be present thanks to a virtual reality screening and the possibility of sitting on an original chair from its bench. During the visit, you will  be able to see the collection of the most representative shirts in the club’s history, from classics to the most innovative ones, as well as more than 400 relevant objects that have marked Atlético de Madrid’s path in its 117 years of life, and, of course, all of the trophies that have been won and many other secrets. Visitors will also become the stars with the possibility of challenging some of the first team players in some fun interactive games in which they will be able to show off their skills against their idols.

    • We Are Family: fans will have the chance to celebrate birthdays for children and adults alike at the Cívitas Metropolitano, as well as other events and family celebrations.

    • We Are Passion: the stadium will host other experiences related not only to football but also to music, other sports and leisure and entertainment in general.

Tickets can be purchased on-line or at the ticket office in the Cívitas Metropolitano commercial street, located next to the official store. On-line purchases will have an exclusive reduced price.
