La Juan Gallery
Information
This cultural space, located in the district of Arganzuela, is devoted to the living arts, where creative, discursive, and exhibition projects are originated, conceived, and produced around performance, action, and the artistic-creative relationship with the body as object.
Since its inception, La Juan Gallery has focused on the margins of the visual arts, the performing arts, dance, and fashion in a way that has allowed it to go beyond a simple fusion of all these disciplines. making performance and living art a category in its own right on Madrid’s gallery scene.
Its proposals promote audience participation, question the foundations of the art market today, and above all, provide a springboard for new creators, artists linked to the art of action, so they can create but also find an increasingly diverse and less sectorised audience.
La Juan Gallery is an intergenerational, cross-sectional, and sectarian-free space where people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds can find a space, allowing for the free exchange of experiences and knowledge, bringing together the different generations of artists who live and have lived in Madrid.
