Méndez Álvaro Station
Information
Méndez Álvaro Station (also known as Estación Sur), opened in 1997, is Spain’s busiest bus station. It provides a service to more than 50 transport operators reaching 1,500 destinations throughout Spain and more than 500 destinations in Europe and Morocco.
The companies operating out of it are: Aisa, ALSA, Avanza, BAM, Cevesa, Eurolines, Flixbus, Interbus Damas, Jiménez Dorado, Samar, Socibus, Socitransa and Tabita Tour. The station serves most of Spain, from Galicia to Cadiz, as well as some European countries, such as France or Portugal, among others.
The station has several restaurants and cafeterias, as well as a small area with shops and services.
Enrique Tierno Galván Park, which is home to the Planetarium, is close to the station.
