Rayo Vallecano Stadium

    Information

This football field is the home to the Rayo Vallecano. Located at the southeastern Madrid Puente de Vallecas district, you can find it between the Streets of Payaso Fofó, Arroyo del Olivar and Avenida de la Albufera.

Rayo Vallecano started out in 1924 and the current stadium was built over the old one in 1973 and, after its latest renovations to adapt it to UEFA directives, it has a capacity for 14,700 spectators.

Besides being the stage for football team’s epic story, this stadium has also been the venue for large concerts, such as Bob Dylan in1980, Metallica in 1992, and Queen in 1986. Amongst the Spanish line-ups that have filled the stadium with their concerts are Barricada, Miguel Ríos  and Luz Casal.

It is also the finishing line for the traditional San Silvestre Vallecana race, which is held every year in Madrid on 31 December.
