Miguel Marinero

    Information

The atelier of acclaimed Spanish veteran furrier Miguel Marinero can be found in the district of Chamberí.

Marinero worked as a creative manager for an haute-couture firm, designing bespoke and ready-made clothing and accessories, from 1974 until he left in 1982. One year later, he established his own brand. With more than 80 collections consisting of stylish pieces, he offers made-to-measure designs, alterations and restyling, as well as cleaning and storage of fur garments.

The firm has created a line of ecological garments since 2018, adapting to consumer needs and being aware of excessive consumption that leads to a global problem, which is how trend. by MM came about.  The new line has arisen as a tribute to Spanish Merino wool, to the artisans who have worked with it from generation to generation and to all of the consumers who, aware of excessivism, are looking for a unique and durable garment.
