Borca

    Information

In the heart of the most authentic Madrid, surrounded by other traditional shops, Borca offers a world of craftsmanship with their hand-made embroideries used on the spectacular and valued embroidered shawls called Mantones de Manila, which are made in natural silk and available in numerous models, sizes and colours. They also offer embroidered ‘mantillas’ to wear with the traditional Spanish comb, brought from Granada and hand-made as well as other more affordable machine-embroidered ones, which are equally beautiful. Also for sale are cloaks and bridal veils.

But since it was opened in 1976 from the hand of Augusto González Lázaro, the store has also been devoted to dressing homes, with table linens for every occasion as well as bedspreads and sheets, embroidered by hand or with bobbin lace. On the whole, this is a temple of fabrics and tailoring, transformed into unique and inimitable garments.
