Picoroco
Information
Chef Itxaso Elosegui is at the helm of this restaurant, which serves Basque gastronomy with a homey feel and flavour, made using premium quality ingredients and carefully plated. All in a cosy inviting setting with minimalist decor and warm earthy colours.
This restaurant is spread over two floors and divided into four areas. Three are public dining areas, and the fourth is a private dining room for up to 22 people. It has an original wall decorated with txapelas (Basque berets) in the same colours as the restaurant logo, and a glazed wine cellar with an exquisite selection of wines.
The menu features recipes that Elosegui has inherited from his grandmother and his mother, given a contemporary twist. The dishes include piquillo peppers stuffed with morcilla sausage and gravy, creamy rice with langoustines, and chickpeas with octopus, among a range of other options.
