Kippu
Information
Japanese cuisine is one of the most extended in the world, but little is known of the influence of Chinese cuisine on it. This restaurant located in the heart of the Salamanca Neighbourhood realises this only too well, through an entire menu of Japanese dishes reinterpreted from the point of view of its Chinese chef, Quifeng Li.
The establishment’s décor combines the industrial and old-fashioned styles, reminiscent of the busy streets in an oriental city. At the entrance, there are some low tables and chairs which look like jerry cans, followed by some elegant tables with a long upholstered sofa and armchairs, and in the centre, there is a spacious bar from which the sushi-man works. The kitchen can partially be seen from the dining room.
The menu includes a wide range of sushi, rice and noodles (ramen, yakisoba, etc.), meat (steak, chicken, duck), fish and seafood (lobster, red shrimp, razor-shells, prawns, etc.), tartars, soups or salads (algae or jellyfish). Its drinks menu includes several sake references.
