Casa Camacho
Information
Located in one of the most popular areas in Madrid, Malasaña, Casa Camacho has been open since the 1920s, serving tapas, vermouth on tap, draught beer and wine at a very affordable price to a very diverse clientele. The decor is practically the same as when it first opened, with the authentic draught taps seen in typical Madrid bars.
Its offerings include “yayos”, a house special that mixes soda water, vermouth and gin, which can be accompanied by tapas and larger sharing dishes including fried potatoes with a spicy tomato sauce (patatas bravas), fresh and cured anchovies, Almagro aubergines, marinated tuna, Madrid style tripe, and sandwiches with Spanish ham, omelette, or mussels, to name but a few.
