Welcome to Madrid

The Madrid Stew Route is the best plan to combat the cold weather in Madrid and will be held from 15 February to 31 March this year. It is a gastronomic route that will visit many restaurants in Madrid city and others in the community of Madrid, offering the possibility to sample our typical dish.

Restaurants from towns like  ChinchónAlcalá de Henares, Collado Villalba or Guadarrama are joining in this initiative, enabling the best stews from all over the Autonomous Community to be savoured. This year, the route will include again the Asador del Carmen in Toledo and En barro cocido in Segovia.

Diners will enjoy a stew, generally served in three stages (soup, chick peas and vegetables, and meats). The Madrid Stew Route is the ideal plan to savour our most typical dish and combat the cold weather with hearty, spoon dishes.
