Welcome to Madrid
During the months of July and August, Veranos de la Villa will once more take Madrid by storm with numerous cultural and leisure offerings to be enjoyed (many of which are free). There´s set to be an jam-packed agenda of concerts, theatre, dance, zarzuela and circus performances, as well as exhibitions and children's activities at venues across the city in the summer of 2023, as the festival celebrates its 39th edition.
Thanks to Veranos de la Villa, the city of Madrid will host this summer-long festival all over again - the 2022 edition saw over 60,000 spectators at more than one hundred activities, taking place at 35 venues in various districts, with 725 national and international artists. Taking place over the course of two months, the event will reach the city’s 21 districts, with an initiative that brings culture to everyone in the capital. This includes neighbourhoods that might not have traditionally been able to enjoy this type of festival, allowing us to all rediscover the city´s urban space!
The event’s cultural offering is extremely diverse in terms of genres, disciplines and styles. The progamme includes: concerts featuring pop, classical, jazz and electronic music; flamenco, dance and circus performances; sporting events; films; magic shows; as well as local festivities and gatherings. We can also expect performances by various renowned artists on the international scene. With free activities open to all publics, this cultural event is 100% committed to accessibility.
