Welcome to Madrid
The Spanish sustainable fashion firm, set up in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche from Madrid, boasts a new retail outlet at Caleido. It is the world’s first zero CO2 emissions store. Committed to the planet, the environment and people, Ecoalf has been recognised as a B Corp’s Best for the World, with the brand ranked in the Top 5% of the 5,000 B Corps across the globe in the environment category.
This brand’s garments are made out of recycled materials, in a bid to avoid uncontrolled disposable consumption, creating quality garments that last. The firm has collections for men, women and children.
The Caleido store has been designed by the international interior decorator Lorenzo Castillo, along with experts in bio-climatic architecture MVN Arquitectos, who have sought solutions that have as little impact as possible without compromising on design. The materials used have a positive CO2 impact, such as wood from Spanish forests, recycled polyester or terracotta, used for furniture and wall coverings. It also has several solar panels to guarantee the minimum use of energy.
Ecoalf has another store in Madrid, in Calle Mejía Lequerica, 2 (Santa Bárbara Palace).
