Welcome to Madrid

Towards the end of March 2023, the new Spanish branch of the international Opera Gallery, present in several countries around the world, will open in Madrid’s Barrio de Salamanca neighbourhood. Directed by Belén Herrera Ottino, this new venue will bring prominent national and international artists to the city’s art scene.

The gallery will be around 1000 square metres in size, spread over three floors, refurbished by Hernández Arquitectos.

To mark its opening, the gallery will present a large collective exhibition featuring the work of great 20th century artists, including Picasso, Chagall, Dubuffet, Leger, and Soulages, along with contemporary artists such as Botero and Valdés.

Gilles Dyan is the founder and president of Opera Gallery, which was born in 1994 with the opening of its first two spaces in Paris and Singapore. It works to showcase emerging international artists alongside great modern and contemporary creators. Currently, Opera Gallery is located in key cities for the art world such as New York, Miami, Miami Bal Harbour, Aspen, London, Monaco, Geneva, Dubai, Beirut, Hong Kong, and Seoul.
