Escuela de Arte La Palma

    Information

In the heart of Malasaña we find this art school, the official centre for artistic teaching affiliated to Madrids Regional Department for Education, with 150 years of history. It is unique both in terms of its facilities and its educational offer in the specialist areas of sculptural techniques and mural techniques, as well as in Arts applied to clothing.

The school has several classrooms and workshops, a library with bibliographic collections and a repository of graphic material and documentation that is of extraordinary historical-artistic value, as well as an exhibition space.

The exhibition room is an open plan space, around 110 m2 in size, with a square floor plan, high ceilings, and three large windows. Its exhibitions showcase the work of students at the school and artists from outside the centre, touching on a range of different, styles and formats.
