Mala Fama Estudios

    Information

The Oporto neighbourhood of Carabanchel is home to various artistic spaces and workshops around the ISO industrial estate. One of them is Mala Fama, opened in 2016, which shares an industrial building with the Nave Oporto studio, where seven contemporary artists are currently working: Carlos Aires, Paula Anta, Gustavo Blanco – Uribe, Alejandro Botubol, Che Marchesi, Melissa Romero and Ben Vine.

Mala Fama is a studio whose main objective is to offer a new space that fosters communication and hosts events related to artistic creation and innovation, encouraging participation. New ways of understanding art and artistic creation coincide there, fostering knowledge between the artists and facilitating the meeting of cultural agents working on the creation, exhibition and promotion of art in Madrid.

This huge space, occupying an area of 100 square metres, is where these artists develop their work and hold events related to artistic creation and innovation, ranging from book presentations to performances or ephemeral projects.
