Welcome to Madrid

The Chamberí district is home to Madrid City Council’s reference centre in artificial intelligence and other Deep Tech technologies.   Managed by Accenture, MIL Madrid will support initiatives that foster disruptive technologies, attracting and retaining talent and investment and positioning Madrid at the forefront of AI in Spain and Europe.

The centre, with a surface area of 400 m2, has a conference room, meeting areas, co-working spaces and leisure areas with an open-plan style that imitates that of the Greek agora, which represents a flexible work space with capacity for 45 people.   Its facilities will welcome entrepreneurs, start-ups and companies from the AI sector, as well as investors, research centres and educational and academic centres.

In operation since February 2022, Madrid Innovation Lab offers a full programme of activities, events, meetings, round tables, informative talks, webinars and training actions, dissemination and promotion of AI to further develop this sector. All of its proposals will be open to the participation of neighbours and residents of Madrid.

Madrid Innovation Lab also aims to have a dynamic effect on the district’s economic and social life, interacting with local SMEs and start-ups and with neighbours to work on digitalisation processes and training in new technologies, respectively. It will also collaborate with educational centres to run dissemination sessions for students of primary and secondary education.
