Welcome to Madrid
The gastronomy of the canary Islands is the key feature of this restaurant, awarded a Michelin Star in the 2020 edition, which is run by the chef from Tenerife, Safe Cruz. With elaborate dishes based on ingredients from the Canary Islands and washed down with wines from the Canary Islands, Gofio offers creative and signature cuisine which tries to show off the culinary culture of the islands to the maximum.
The restaurant is located in the heart of the Literary Quarter, in a small, rectangular establishment with just six tables and capacity for 20 diners. Its decor is simple, with water colour paintings by the artist from the Canary Islands, María Bombassat, bringing the walls to life.
Gofio’s gastronomic proposal consists of three menus: Gofio, in a short version (available only from Wednesday to Friday at noon); Canariedad Máxima, to savour the excellence of Canarian cuisine; and Canariedad Máxima Plus, for those who are more daring and food lovers. The wine cellar only includes wines from the Canary Islands.
