Welcome to Madrid
In the heart of Paseo del Arte, you can find this wine bar and restaurant that serves traditional Spanish food with innovative and French touches. Apart from serving food and selling wine, Las Carboneras de Lu organize different events on wine both for individual and business clients.
The restaurant is located in an old refurbished coal cellar (carbonera) from 1902, a venue that used to house the Dassa Bassa restaurant. The restaurant is divided in two floors. The main entrance is a wine shop with area for wine tasting. From there you enter the restaurant located at the lower floor. The restaurant can seat up to 60 diners and has a private dining room for 20-22 people.
The menu includes local dishes made with Spanish ingredients like Madrid-style tripes, ox tail and wild turbot. The menu is completed, of course, with a great selection of wines from the region.
