Welcome to Madrid
The Bulevar de Calle Ibiza, an area that stands out in Madrid from a gastronomic point of view, is home to this restaurant run by Juanjo López Biedma, where home-made cuisine that is traditional yet up to date can be savoured. Its gastronomic proposal goes through the popular recipe book and is revamped weekly with proposals that are off the menu depending on the season and what is available at the market.
The young chef, Carlos García runs the kitchen at this restaurant, one of the Bulbiza projects, the Madrid initiative that collects different gastronomic concepts, initiated by José Andrés and the Riberas brothers. García was the winner of the 3rd Pickling Competition in the 2022 edition of Madrid Fusión.
On the other hand, López Biedma embarked upon an initiative on 18 May 2019 that has become a tradition, #elcocidodetodoslo. That day, Stephane Guérin and Arturo Pardos served the typical stew of La Gastroteca at La Cocina de Frente. Since then, stew has been brought back to the forefront with the participation of chefs of the likes of Luis Alberto Lera, Pedro Sánchez, Albert Adrià, Paco Méndez, Pepe Solla, Ricard Camarena or Ramón Freixa.
