Welcome to Madrid
This Chinese restaurant in the Malasaña neighbourhood was the first to open in Spain in 1974. Following a complete refurbishment, a new stage began in 2017 in which its culinary proposal focuses on original dishes of typical Chinese street food, many of which are unknown to Spanish diners.
The current decoration by the Lavela Studio is inspired by the city of Shangri-La to combine tradition and avant-garde. The establishment has two floors with a capacity for 75 diners, large windows, original motifs and aesthetic details that create a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The lower floor boasts a brilliant bar. The ceilings of the upper floor are decorated with lantern type lamps, and the presence of vegetation stands out.
The menu includes various tasting menus, with dishes that offer new feelings and a clash of flavours. The yam with prawns, oyster and Sichuan pepper sauce, or the dim sum and the glutinous rice Shaomai stand out. As for desserts, the spicy chocolate cake with peanut butter deserves a special mention.
