El Escondite de Villanueva is a restaurant to be enjoyed by its clientele throughout the day with delicious breakfasts, lunches, dinners and drinks. It is a warm and cosy establishment with a good culinary offer.    

The restaurant began in 2001 as El Escondite, in Calle Conde de Aranda, with the intention of offering lunches to workers in the vicinity and a lot of fun in the evenings, with a long bar on which pintxos and long drinks converged. Over time, the establishment moved to its current location in Calle Villanueva and began serving breakfasts, becoming a reference in the Salamanca area.

Since 2015, it has added a space to relax and enjoy leisure time, with the incorporation of a terrace.

El Escondite offers a variety of tasty, value for money dishes, which include its famous hamburgers made out of 100% beef and served on brioche bread baked in a wood-fired oven, or its sweet/chilli crunchy chicken in breadcrumbs, along with other more innovative proposals, such as the false risotto with boletus and truffle or red tuna tartar marinated in avocado and sesame.
