Welcome to Madrid
Located in the AZCA business complex and standing 120 metres tall, with thirty-two storeys of office space, Torre Europa is one of Madrid’s tallest buildings. It was built in 1985 by Miguel Oriol e Ybarra.
Following the renovation works carried out from 2016 to 2017, the building has become one of the world's smartest skyscrapers, with an innovative lighting system that allows its spaces to be managed and optimised based on the specific requirements of the occasion and the individual preferences of each person. This renovation led to it winning the 2019 Award for the Best Tall Building Renovation by the Council on Tall Building and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). It has also obtained the LEED Gold certificate, which recognises buildings that have incorporated sustainable and high efficiency criteria into their operation.
One of the most outstanding elements of its façade is an oval-shaped clock that is particularly eye-catching at night when it is lit up. On the roof, there is a heliport that can only be used in the event of evacuation.
