Welcome to Madrid

This tower, standing 100 high and spread over 25 floors, was built between 1973 and 190 by Antonio Perpiñá,  making it at the time the city's fourth highest skyscraper, after the Torre de Madrid, the Edificio España and the Torres de Colón. Today, it houses the Ministry for Industry, Commerce and Tourism. 

Its architectural style falls into brutalism, a modern movement that emerged between the 1950s and the 1960s, in which repetitive angular geometries were showcased and the bare construction materials could be appreciated.
