The Antigua Taquería, which occupies the establishment that used to be home to the authentic Bar Máximo, in the heart of Lavapies, combines the flavour of what is typical of Madrid with purely Mexican cuisine. 

What stands out at the Antigua Taquería is the essence of the cuisine prepared by a Mexican 'mamá', who goes to the nearby San Fernando market each day to buy the ingredients. It offers a wide range of tacos and quesadillas, which are served freshly made and accompanied by three different spicy sauces. To drink: tequila, mezcal and micheladas, as well as cocktails that are prepared at the diner’s table.
