Welcome to Madrid
Between 8 April and 25 October, the terrace area outside Casa Arabe is once again hosting this charitable project, through which CEAR (Spanish Refugee Aid Commission) will be serving up all the aromas, colours, and flavours of Arabic gastronomy. The dishes will be prepared by 14 people, mostly refugees and migrants on their journey of integration.
Lakook Causas CEAR was founded in 2015, under the name of Causas CEAR, with the aim of helping refugees who have fled their countries to build a new future, providing them, through cooking, with a means to integrate into Spain’s society and workforce.
The menu presented is simple, with ten dishes and two desserts, including “Manoushe”, “Lebanese pizza” with zaatar, tomato and cucumber; Kibbeh Al Samak, seabass and prawn kibbeh, garlic sauce and tabouleh, as well as a new dessert: Kanafeh, kataifi pastry, melted cheese and frozen yoghurt. Classics such as Labneh , Moroccan Zaalouk, Shawarma Mushakan from Palestine , and Basbousa, a typical cake from Egypt, are also still on the menu.
You can book a table through the official website lakook.es or by calling 91 068 95 94.
