Welcome to Madrid

In 1886, Puerta del Sol had a glove shop and factory under the name of Federico Gely. Years later, Juan Antonio  Luque took over the business, moving to Calle Espoz y Mina and also to Calle San Sebastián, which closed in the 1950s . In 1927, its glove brand was registered , including a slogan that speaks of the wide range of sports gloves, English-cut gloves and specialising in Swedish and antelope gloves.

The shop obtained great popularity for the quality of its fabrics and for its wide variety. In the 1930s, the gloves worn by the contestants in the Miss Spain galas were from this shop. Nowadays, television series like Velvet continue showing their quality and great fashion designers come to put the finishing touches to their models.

At Luque, all types of handmade gloves are produced and sold, whereby the variety of styles, materials and colours stands out, although it specialises in gloves in different types of leather.
