In the year 1989 Marcial Pons, with the participation of the university teachers José Juan Ferreiro Lapatza and José Ramón Parada Vázquez, founded Marcial Pons Ediciones Jurídicas y Sociales, S.A.

His idea was to develop a project capable of offering a final product of high scientific value and careful technical elaboration for the entire academic and professional law community, both in Spain and Latin America. Currently, production already reaches more than 1,000 titles, consolidating the position as a fundamental editorial in the academic and professional world.
