Hackett

    Information

This typically British brand of menswear was founded by Jeremy Hackett and Ashley Lloyd-Jennings, who met when they were selling second-hand clothes in Portobello Road. Their business did so well that they soon opened the first Hackett shop, making clothes and accessories with a British look.

The brand's ideology can be summarised in the slogan Essential British Kit, an approach that has brought lasting success, as it focuses on clothes which never go out of fashion and are always elegant.

The firm also produces a line of clothes for children called Essential British Kids. The brand's hallmark products are its tweed jackets and polo shirts. Two types of collar are available for shirts: the "city" and "Chelsea" styles. A shop for men who have always admired that indefinable style of dress that is typical of the British gentleman.
