Peluquería Vallejo
Information
It has passed from father to son since 1908, until the present day. It has a magnificent façade, made up of original tiles from 1900, hand painted by craftsmen from Talavera. At one time there were thirty barbers working in this shop, crammed with customers.
With his agile scissors, Basilio Vallejo, the founder, tamed such venerable beards as that of Ramón y Cajal and such honourable grey hair as that of Gregorio Marañón. From those early days, it conserves the armchairs, till, sterilisers, children's seats and utensils such as razors, hairdryers and old-fashioned hand-held razors.
