Welcome to Madrid

From their shop on calle Flor Baja, Cántaro still fights to preserve the Spanish ceramics and pottery popular tradition, with unique hand-painted pieces by Spain’s best artisans in this field.

Not only enthusiasts of this art, but all beauty-lovers in general, must pay a visit to one of the most beautiful shopping corners in the city. Behind a façade decorated with ceramics from Paterna, the main floor houses collections by ceramists from different parts of Spain, brought personally by the owners of the store, who travel around the country looking for valuable pieces.

The basement, the building’s former coal cellar, is devoted to clay, with vintage pieces from workshops that no longer exist and large-format murals. Furthermore, Cántaro offers customers all their experience to make pieces made-to-order, handmade and personalized, as well as family coats of arms, portrayed on murals or plates.
